today I decided to order “La Fonera” and “La Fontenna” (to improve the range of the wireless network) so I can share my internet access with others out there.
La Fonera is a wireless router that will provide two wireless access points. One for your private use which is encrypted with WEP or WPA and another one that’s open for Fonera users (and only fonera users).
There are two modes provided for the provider which is YOU: the linus and the bill mode. If you choose the bill mode you can earn 50% of the money people paid to access your hotspot but you have to ensure your internet access provider allows the commercial usage. In most cases you have to choose the linus mode.
In the meantime I’ll wait for my dealer to give me some response to my request on the alix 1c mini-itx board I’m gonna use to build a tiny wifi ap that will do some honeypotting.
